The corporate social responsibility of HMC is largely categorized into three areas: economic, social, and environmental. The economic area includes the company's most basic responsibilities of creating and ensuring return on create jobs and return on investments through generating profits. The social area includes the company's responsibilities to create better local communities, by maintaining cooperation with stakeholders, customers, and suppliers, while taking care of the marginalized as a corporate citizen. The environmental area includes the company's concern for and obligations to protecting the environment. HMC makes systematic and consistent investments in all these areas of responsibility.
