At the beginning of the Weeks of Social Contribution each year, HMC holds the inauguration ceremony for the year's Voluntary Services Corps for Rice Distribution and give instructions for delivering rice to homes and organizations throughout the country. The prepared rice is first delivered to each volunteer, and finally delivered to the selected homes and organizations in local communities.

A 20kg-bag of rice may not sound like much for those who can afford it, but it is an essential commodity for the needy to prepare for the winter. HMC employees deliver rice to the needy wherever they are, be it remote rural areas or impoverished urban areas.

HMC always seeks to find ways to practically and realistically assist the needy members of our communities.

The Rice Distribution Program is part of the greater efforts made by the Voluntary Services Corps of HMC employees to fulfill the slogan 'Moving the World Together'. The 50,000 employees of HMC serve their local communities in both small and large ways
