Co-hosted by HMC and the Environmental Preservation Association (EPA) and sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, SsingSsingYi Green World Sketch Contest
selects two thousand works out of the twelve-thousand submitted every year on the themes of environmental preservation. The creators of the winning works are then invited to the regional final rounds held in five major cities (Seoul, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, and Jeju) to pick the final winners.
The final rounds held in green parks in the hosting cities provide opportunities for children and their families alike to enjoy a day out in nature. They are occasions on which people are reminded of the need to protect the natural environment.
The award-winning children are then invited on field trips to the Asan plant, production facilities abroad, and other learning opportunities.
HMC holds the contest to ensure that our children grow up to be responsible citizens for the environment and appreciate the pleasures of nature.
