The plant in Asan, which specializes in the production of cars for exports, is a large, self-sufficient production facility located on a vast area of land in Asan, capable of producing over 300,000 medium- to large-sized automobiles without resorting to outside sources as the plant is equipped with all the facilities it needs, including the press, the factories for producing the auto bodies, painting facility, assembly lines, and engine and material factories.
The first general auto plant in the region of Chungcheon, the Asan plant is helping the region grow into a new economic and industrial center on the western coast of Korea, vitalizing the regional economy.
The Asan plant is already playing a central role in the regional economy and society through consistent and vigorous input into modernizing and automating various production facilities.
