In line with its initiatives to offer a safe driving environment, HMC constantly endeavors to develop and apply various intelligent safety vehicle technologies, such as Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), the Adaptive Cruise Control System (ACC), and the Lane Departure Warning and Prevention System etc.

VDC is a system designed to protect the driver's safety by actively controlling the engine torque and the brake when the driver is suddenly drawn into an incontrollable situation on the road, such as sudden acceleration, sudden braking, and sudden rotation. HMC currently provides its medium- and large-sized automobiles with a system that controls the driver's position in such dangers.
